Tulane beats Army on wild touchdown catch

Tulane beat Army 24-17 at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, La., on Saturday thanks to a wild touchdown catch. Tulane had the ball at the Army 26-yard line with 34 seconds left in the game. Quarterback Jake Retzlaff took a snap from the shotgun and threw to his left to Shazz Preston, who battled with a defender for the ball. The ball bounced off the players and into the air, and Preston bobbled it a few times before finally securing the catch in the end zone for a tie-breaking touchdown. The catch may not have been the prettiest or cleanest, but Preston stuck with it for the touchdown, and thatโ€™s what matters most. Tulane is now 6-1 and is one of three undefeated teams in the American Conference. Retzlaff, who transferred to Tulane from BYU, has thrown for 6 touchdowns and rushed for 7 TDs this season.Read More
