The Tulane Green Wave continued to ride the wave of success as they faced off against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in a thrilling college football showdown. With quarterback Kai Horton stepping up to the plate in the absence of the injured Michael Pratt, Tulane showcased their resilience and determination, securing a commanding 21-3 victory.
From the opening kickoff, it was clear that the Green Wave were on a mission. Their offensive and defensive units synchronized seamlessly, setting the stage for a memorable night in Yulman Stadium.
Quarterback Kai Horton stepped into the spotlight as the starting signal-caller for the Green Wave, and he did not disappoint. Horton’s performance was nothing short of spectacular. He threw for 186 yards, connecting with his receivers for two impressive touchdown passes. Horton proved that when called upon, he could step in for injured star Michael Pratt and execute with confidence and flair.
While Horton shone brightly on offense, the Tulane defense displayed tenacity and ferocity throughout the game. They held the Southern Miss Golden Eagles to a mere field goal, stifling their attempts to establish offensive momentum. The Green Wave’s defensive front relentlessly pressured the Southern Miss quarterback Billy Wiles, disrupting their passing game.

Tulane hosts Nicholls State next Saturday in Yulman Stadium.
