It’s been blown off and forgotten with all the fun being had by Memphis, North Texas, South Florida, and Navy in the American Conference race, but the Green Wave are unbeaten in league play, and the only loss was to Ole Miss. With Memphis up next, it has to get by UTSA to realistically lock in a spot in the conference title game – it plays Florida Atlantic, Temple, and Charlotte to go. UTSA got walloped by North Texas and lost to Temple, and it gets a trip to USF up next. It desperately needs this, or the 3-4 team is realistically done.
