Turnovers doom Boise State in blowout loss to Washington in LA Bowl

In what was the final LA Bowl at SoFi Stadium, Washington dominated Boise State in a 38-10 decision.  After winning its third consecutive Mountain West championship one week ago, the Broncos kept the first quarter of Saturday’s game close before the Huskies took a 24-3 lead to the locker room.  Statistically, Saturday’s game didn’t look like a blowout. Washington only outgained Boise State by 44 yards, 355 to 311. Neither team had over four yards per carry, Boise State had six penalties to Washington’s nine, and the Broncos possessed the football for four more minutes than their opponent. But it was the turnover battle that truly shaped the game.
