There is something about a player’s bobblehead day that can bring out the best in them. Minnesota Twins All-Star outfielder Byron Buxton proved that again on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. With a 427-foot home run to center field in the bottom of the seventh inning, Buxton completed his first career cycle. It’s the Twins’ first cycle since 2019 and the first one to ever be hit at Target Field. It also happened on Buxton’s bobblehead day. Here is a look at the home run to complete it. Buxton was 5-for-5 at that point with a double, triple and two singles before being removed from the game in the eighth inning. He recorded the double in the bottom of the third inning, tripled in the bottom of the second inning and had singles in the bottom of the first and fifth innings. His home run was his 21st of the season, while the triple was his fourth.
