The Dolphins will have their top playmakers on the field in Week 1. According to head coach Mike McDaniel , wide receiver Tyreek Hill and running back De’Von Achane will play on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

“Tyreek Hill and De’Von Achane are ‘absolutely’ on track to play Sunday vs the Colts, per [Mike] McDaniel,” ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques reported. That’s certainly welcome news for Miami fans entering the 2025 campaign.

Achane feels like a star in the making, while Hill is a known commodity. However, his future with the Dolphins was in doubt earlier this offseason, when he made some off-the-wall comments regarding his team.

Following a Week 18 loss during the 2024 season, Hill said, “I’m ou,t bro.” Safe to say, that didn’t sit well with his quarterback Tua Tagovailoa , as his star wide receiver gave cryptic comments about his time with the team.

Alas, Hill is back with the Dolphins in 2025 and ready to get to work. But, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows between Tagovailoa and Hill, as the quarterback called their relationship a “work in progress” during training camp.

“When you say something like that, you don’t just come back with ‘My bad.’ You gotta work that relationship up,” Tagovailoa said, via Cameron Wolfe. “He’s working on himself.”

Moreover, Hill caught just two passes for 20 yards on three targets during that final game last year. The 31-year-old finished the 2024 season with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns.
