Unrivaled Announces Role for Chicago Sky, Indiana Fever Players

Chicago Sky guard Hailey Van Lith and Indiana Fever center Makayla Timpson will remain busy amid the WNBA offseason. Van Lith, who underwent surgery this offseason to address her bothersome ankle injury, averaged 3.5 points, 1.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists on 12.4 minutes per game as a backup player for the Sky in her rookie season. Timpson, on the other hand, played in 31 games for Indiana and put up 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds as a reserve. While Van Lith is recovering from her injury and Timpson is playing overseas in the Czech Republic, both players have more in store on the basketball court in the months ahead. On Wednesday, Unrivaled — the 3-on-3 women’s basketball league founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart — announced its first-ever “Development Pool” that features six players.
