OXFORD, Miss. — LSU’s unbeaten season came to an end as No. 13 Ole Miss defeated No. 4 LSU 24-19 in a tough SEC battle. Division II transfer QB Trinidad Chambliss continued his breakout run with 314 passing yards and a touchdown — his third straight 300-yard performance — while Kewan Lacy and ex-LSU RB Logan Diggs added key rushing scores for the Rebels.
The Tigers (4-1, 1-1 SEC) struggled mightily on the ground without Caden Durham, rushing for just 57 yards. QB Garrett Nussmeier threw for 197 yards and a TD but also had a costly interception. LSU had a late chance after Harlem Berry’s touchdown made it 24-19, but a failed 2-point try and Ole Miss’s clock-killing drives sealed the loss.
Big Q of Tuff Tiger Talk breaks down LSU’s struggles, missed opportunities, and what this loss means moving forward in the SEC.
