Von Miller reveals controversial take on QB GOAT debate

Von Miller sided with Peyton Manning over Tom Brady in the quarterback GOAT discussion. Of course, opening that can of worms can lead you to guys like John Elway , Joe Montana or even Johnny Unitas .

As far as the modern game is concerned, specifically the last 25 years, Manning and Brady are the de facto two answers. Depending upon who you pick, both have their respective arguments to be the greatest of all time.

Brady has the staggering seven Super Bowl wins in 10 trips, which dwarfs all quarterbacks. Manning has two, to his credit, in four appearances. Having played with Manning, Miller saw him up close and picked him as the GOAT.

“There’s gonna be a debate between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, who’s the best, you know, for me, it’ll always be Peyton Manning,” Miller said on Glory Daze with Johnny Manziel . “Peyton Manning, he changed the quarterback position from checking … He changed the play. Come on. Check the play. Change the play again. Go over the top. He wasn’t scrambling and doing that and stuff. He did it all with his arm, and it was beautiful, man 

“And Tom Brady obviously, seven Super Bowls over the years. I’ve gotten to know Tom Brady a little bit as well. And you know you root for Tom Brady too. Both of those guys are the greats, for sure.”

Manning is already in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Brayd will join him of course. When he retired, Manning held virtually every passing record.
