WATCH: Antonio Gibson tears up coming out of injury tent following unfortunate injury

New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson suffered a brutal knee injury during the Sunday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills. As he was helped off the field, Gibson was seen tearing up after leaving the medical tent.

The Patriots then announced that Gibson has been ruled out due to the knee injury. He finished his night with 21 yards on six carries.

While we’ll find out more details about Antonio Gibson’s injury later in the week, football writer and doctory of physical therapy Jeff Mueller said that the former Memphis star may have done damage to his right ACL/MCL. He also said that Gibson’s “meniscus could also be implicated.”

Through four games this year, Gibson has recorded 85 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries. He is in his second season with the Patriots and finished the 2024 season with 538 rushing yards, 206 receiving yards, and one rushing touchdown.
