Buffalo Bills running back Ray Davis turned 26 Thursday. What better way to celebrate your birthday than by hitting pay dirt.
Yes, all touchdowns count the same. Some, however, are more electric than others. For Davis, this was arguably his finest moment in the NFL . Late in the second quarter of Thursday’s Week 12 road game against the Houston Texans, Davis returned a kickoff back the other way for a 97-yard score, his first career kickoff return touchdown.
Davis started his run at the 3-yard line, pinballed off a teammate near the 30-yard line and exploded into the open field. He easily maneuvered past Texans kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn and ran into the end zone untouched.

Davis’s house call gave the Bills a 16-13 lead. The Texans, however, scored with five seconds remaining before halftime, taking a 20-16 lead into the locker room.
