The Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers got into a scrum during the first quarter Sunday, resulting in a personal foul on Philadelphia. Quinyon Mitchell, Tristan Wirfs and more were involved.
Jaylx Hunt was the official guilty party after officials sorted things out. The drama intensified early in the day when Cooper DeJean tackled Bucs RB Rachaad White . He stepped over him and was flagged for taunting. It seemed like no one, even in the Tampa Bay crowd, liked the call.
Then, DeJean appeared to pick off Baker Mayfield on the next play, but the pass was ruled incomplete. During DeJean’s initial return, scrums ensued between the Eagles and Buccaneers, resulting in Wirfs’ helmet coming off and a fight nearly breaking out.

Where does Mitchell come in? Oh yeah. He was getting feisty with Mayfield. Earlier in the game, Mitchell was caught on the broadcast trash talking after forcing a punt. The Eagles and Buccaneers’ stars came head to head during the would-be-fight.
For reference, the DeJean tackle and penalty can be seen below. NFL officials made it known they were going to crackdown on taunting penalties in 2025.
