It’s been a rough start to the season for the Tennessee Titans. After opening 1-5, they’d make a coaching change before welcoming the New England Patriots to town. There, rookies Cam Ward and Chimere Dike were able to jump New England in the first quarter.
That included a deep shot from Ward to Dike early in the game. They’d connect for what became the first touchdown in Dike’s young career. You can watch that touchdown pass, here:

On the 38-yard connection, Ward rolled to his right before looking deep. There, Dike was running down toward the goal line. He’d beaten Marcus Jones to get to the corner and was able to essentially walk into the endzone untouched. At the time, it made the game 10-3 in favor of the underdog Titans.
Chimere Dike played his college football from 2020-23 with Wisconsin. Then, in 2024, he played for Florida. In the process, he would rejoin former Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz in Gainesville. With the Gators, he would snag 42 receptions for 783 yards, and two touchdowns. That helped make him a fourth round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Coming into the game against New England, Dike had nine receptions for 26 yards on the season. That’s 2.9 yards per reception. Now, he’s blown those numbers up with the 38-yard touchdown grab. Of course, that’s not his only first half grab as part of the gameplan does seem to feature the young playmaker.
