Dan Quinn is busted open. The Washington Commanders head coach was on the receiving end of friendly fire from quarterback Marcus Mariota .
Mariota, starting in place of the injured Jayden Daniels , was running out of bounds when a shove from a Las Vegas Raiders defender sent him crashing into Quinn. The 55-year-old Quinn had nowhere to go, and he took a direct shot to his face from Mariota’s helmet. The back of Quinn’s head also appeared to hit the ground.

Quinn was able to get up and continue his coaching duties. He does, however, have a nasty gash on his nose, though nothing that will keep him from handing off the headset to someone else.
“I’m OK. Everything’s good,” Quinn told FOX Sports sideline reporter Jen Hale . “Just gonna be this kind of day where it’s a physical game, back and forth, and that’s what we expected coming in.”
