WATCH: Dallas Cowboys fan kicked out of indoor practice for 'Fire the GM' sign

While the Dallas Cowboys’ front office remains mired in a contractual standoff with superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons , fans are directing their frustration at longtime owner and general manager Jerry Jones . Such is sports.

In fact, one bold Cowboys fan had to be escorted out of AT&T Stadium in Arlington after allegedly disrupting Thursday’s practice with a “Fire the GM” sign aimed at Jones. And based on security’s reaction, the 82-year-old Jones likely didn’t appreciate the display.

Jones has owned the Dallas Cowboys since 1989, serving as the team’s owner, president and general manager, meaning he’s been heavily involved in all team roster decisions for the better part of the last four decades. Of course, many of his early decisions proved quite successful, leading to three Super Bowl victories in the early 1990s. But Dallas hasn’t won a Lombardi Trophy since 1995 and hasn’t made it out of the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs since that memorable season 30 years ago.

Micah Parsons contract dispute: Dallas Cowboys, star defender reportedly have ‘no movement’ towards new deal

The contract dispute between  Micah Parsons  and the Dallas Cowboys has now dragged to within two weeks of the regular season beginning. Still, progress remains incredibly slow toward reaching an agreement.

NFL insider Tom Pelissero had the latest on the contract dispute. He explained that even though the season is rapidly approaching, there have been no further negotiations between the two sides.
