WATCH: Jaxson Dart takes big hit on QB run, starts off massive fight between Giants, Patriots

A fight broke out during the New England Patriots vs. New York Giants game on Monday night after Giants QB Jaxson Dart took a big hit from a Patriots linebacker Christian Elliss . The incident occurred late in the first quarter when the Patriots were leading 10-0.

When Elliss hit Dart, Giants tight end Theo Johnson began shoving Elliss, and that’s when players from both teams got involved. Christian Ellis was not penalized for the hit on Jaxson Dart because he hit him in bounds. But Johnson was penalized for going after Elliss.

In a situation like that, the Giants coaches might tell Dart to just get out of bounds so he doesn’t take a big hit. Dart returned to the lineup on Monday night after missing the last two games due to a concussion.
