Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones gave an update on the potential trade he made after the team lost to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night. Reporters asked Jones if the trade was still in place despite the loss.
“We still can, yes,” Jerry Jones said. “…We’ll see how tomorrow goes. Today was all about tomorrow. You shouldn’t do anything. You should wait and see what we do tomorrow.”

Before the game, Jones talked about having a trade already in place. But with the team currently sitting with a 3-5-1 record, it’s hard to see them add a veteran player since their hopes of reaching the playoffs are fading away.
But they are not mathematically out of anything, and Jones likely believes they are a big move away from turning things around. What makes this all interesting is that Jones won’t reveal who they have traded for, leading to some speculation about the trade happening.
