While there might not be a huge on-field rivalry between the New York Giants and Jets, Wednesday’s joint practice still got intense. To the point where a brawl broke out with plenty of onlookers. Players were going at it with each other, both standing up and once on the ground.
A video was captured by the Giants Nation Show X account. There appear to be a lot more Jets present in the scrum than Giants. While the beginning stages are not clearly shown, a Giants player looks to have pancaked a Jets player and held him down there for a few moments.
Eventually, more guys arrive for a chaotic moment. Coaches and practice referees were able to separate the two teams and send them back to the sidelines. You can check out the full moment here.

We will have to see if this energy continues in the coming days. A joint practice on Wednesday will lead into a preseason game taking place on Saturday. Both teams call MetLife Stadium home but the Giants will officially be labeled the home team.
There will not be a regular season game between them, though. Part of why they get to face off in the preseason is due to how the schedule falls once games officially count. Hopefully, emotions can stay a little more in check moving forward.
