Green Bay Packers safety Xavier McKinney is one of the first victims of the NFL’s crackdown on taunting this season. The league made taunting a point of emphasis this offseason.
McKinney was tracking toward the sideline in a game against the Detroit Lions when he cracked wide receiver Kalif Raymond as he made his way toward the ball-carrier. After Raymond was knocked to the ground, that’s when McKinney got himself into trouble.
The veteran safety stood over Raymond and appeared to have a word. Officials immediately flagged him. You can view the play below.

The NFL had made it a point to warn teams that taunting was going to be more heavily policed during the 2025 season. The league wants to eradicate some of the things that can paint the league in a negative light.
