The Baltimore Ravens got some swimming lessons from perhaps the best teacher in the world as they linked up with Michael Phelps on Tuesday. The all-time Olympic gold medalist record holder and Baltimore native was called in for help by cornerback Marlon Humphrey , who posted a video on social media explaining that 1/3 of his teammates couldn’t swim.

In one hilarious moment from his visit, Phelps was trying to teach defensive lineman Travis Jones how to kick his legs in the water. Jones was using a pool noodle to keep himself floating in the water and had a big grin on his face. He looked to get the technique down, too.

“I didn’t know what I was getting into. I had no idea what their comfort level was,” Phelps said according to the Ravens’ website. “When I see the guys in there and some of the guys who are literally working on floating and breathing, and they’re focused on paying attention to those details, it shows their vulnerability, especially when they’re uncomfortable.”

Phelps was also in attendance at Tuesday’s practice and got the tour the Ravens’ new pool in their training facility. After that, they headed to the Loyola College acquatic center for their lessons.
