Jalen Milroe is getting extended run for the Seattle Seahawks in the team’s final preseason game on Saturday. Milroe took the field as the starting quarterback in Green Bay, going up against the Packers. While the performance has not been great, he did find a great moment in the fourth quarter.

Everyone remembers their first NFL touchdown, even in the preseason. Milroe connected with Cody White inside the red area for his, needing a score to stay alive in the game. White was able to break away from a tackler and wiggle into the end zone.

Now late in the fourth quarter, Milroe has thrown for 116 yards while completing 50% of his 22 pass attempts. His legs are a big part of the game but not too much has come from them against the Packers. Six carries for 31 yards is all Milroe has been able to gain thus far.

Seattle knows who their starting quarterback is going to be. Sam Darnold signed a massive deal this offseason, locking him down as the franchise’s future. However, getting somebody to develop in the meantime is never a bad idea. Milroe is the guy for them, taking him in the third round with the No. 92 overall pick.

Getting a touchdown is a great start for the rookie. Whether or not some action comes during the regular season is unknown, at least competitive snaps. A lot of important development could come in the final preseason game.
