Tua Tagovailoa didn’t hold back his frustrations, coming at his teammates after a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. The Miami Dolphins quarterback specifically mentioned that he was disappointed when some players showed up late to a players only meeting this past week.

The Dolphins lost by a score of 29-27 to fall to 1-5 on the season. Tagovailoa struggled on the day to finish 21-of-32 passing for 205 yards and one touchdown to three interceptions.

“I think it starts with the leadership and helping articulate that for the guys and what we’re expecting out of the guys,” he said postgame. “We’re expecting this, are we getting that? We have guys showing up to player only meetings late, guys not showing up to player only meetings. There’s a lot that goes into that that. Do we have to make this mandatory? Do we not have to make this mandatory? So it’s a lot of things of that nature that we’ve got to get cleaned up and it starts with the little things like that.”

A very honest — and glaring — set of comments from #Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa, who mentioned “leadership” and pointed out that some have been late or haven’t shown up to meetings when discussing the team’s 1-5 start.pic.twitter.com/hYQmi0lwNn
