New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is poised to make a swift return to practice, according to Coach Dennis Allen. After a medical episode on Friday night, Graham’s absence raised concerns, but Allen has provided reassurance that the incident won’t result in a prolonged break from training.
While the exact details of the episode remain undisclosed, Allen expects Graham to be back on the field as early as Wednesday. The Saints’ priority lies in Graham’s well-being, and the coach emphasized that the team is focused on giving the 36-year-old an opportunity to showcase his skills as he vies for a spot on the roster.
Graham, who re-signed with the Saints on a one-year deal after a year away from the NFL, missed Sunday night’s game against the Chargers due to the episode’s aftermath and additional tests were conducted to ensure his health. Graham’s return will be a welcome sight for the Saints, as the veteran player seeks to contribute his talents to the team’s 2023 campaign, building on his prior experience with the organization.
