After a 14-win 2024 season with current Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, the Minnesota Vikings elected to go with J.J. McCarthy under center after he missed all of his rookie season with a meniscus tear in his right knee. McCarthy started the first two games this season, going 1-1 before missing the last five games with a right ankle injury. In his absence, veteran Carson Wentz has taken over, accumulating a 2-3 record with six TDs and five interceptions, the latest sign of a major flop at QB for the Vikings.
