When Steelers reportedly could make Aaron Rodgers decision for Bears game

As of Wednesday morning, it was unclear whether Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play when the Steelers face the 7-3 Chicago Bears at Soldier Field this Sunday. The soon-to-be 42-year-old suffered a small fracture in his left (non-throwing) wrist during Pittsburgh’s 34-12 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 16. Per ESPN NFL insider Dan Graziano, the Steelers seem willing to wait until later in the week to make a final call on Rodgers’ status. “As coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday,” Graziano explained, “the plan is to figure out whether they can brace and/or pad Rodgers’ non-throwing hand to a point where he can take the snap from center, hand off with his left hand, protect himself when he falls, etc. This might go right up until Friday or Saturday with Rodgers pushing to play and the team having to decide if it’s better off with a potentially compromised Rodgers or a fully healthy Mason Rudolph.” Rudolph replaced Rodgers against the Bengals and completed 12-of-16 passes for 127 yardsRead More
