After an impressive victory over Errol Spence Jr. in a thrilling ninth-round TKO, Terence Crawford (40-0) finds himself with several intriguing options for his next bout. Spence, who suffered a significant defeat, has already expressed his desire for a rematch, setting a possible date in December for their anticipated showdown. However, Crawford’s ambitions extend beyond just reclaiming the welterweight title.
Having already achieved undisputed status at both junior welterweight and welterweight, Crawford is now eyeing an unprecedented third undisputed championship in three different weight classes. His next target is Jermell Charlo (35-1-1), the undisputed ruler at 154 pounds. No boxer has accomplished such a remarkable feat, and Crawford boldly declared, “You’re next,” to Charlo after his recent triumph over Spence. The path to this historic matchup, though, hinges on whether Spence exercises the rematch clause in their contract, potentially postponing Crawford’s ascent to the super welterweight division.

Another promising contender on Crawford’s radar is the undefeated Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis (31-0), who possesses outstanding boxing abilities that could provide an enthralling spectacle for fans and critics alike. As Crawford inherits Ennis as Spence’s IBF welterweight mandatory challenger, a showdown between the two fighters looms on the horizon.

However, to maintain his title reign, Crawford will need to face Ennis in the near future. Meanwhile, Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman (30-1) has thrown his hat into the ring, actively campaigning for a title shot against the undisputed welterweight champion. Thurman directly challenged Crawford to negotiate with Al Haymon of PBC and finalize the contract for their highly anticipated bout.

As Terence Crawford looks ahead to his next move in the boxing world, his options are ripe with possibilities. The sport awaits eagerly to witness whether Crawford will take on the challenge of becoming a three-time undisputed world champion or if other contenders will present formidable obstacles in his path to continued greatness.
