The MLB offseason has officially begun, and while no major news has yet to break, the rumors and speculation are certainly starting to swirl. Free agency opened on Nov. 6, though baseball fans know how slow a process it can be waiting for the top available players to sign. What can come anytime now is activity on the trade market, and on Monday, USA Today insider Bob Nightengale revealed a list of 17 players potentially on the block to keep an eye on in the coming weeks and months. There were plenty of intriguing names scattered throughout, though none bigger than San Diego Padres superstar outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. “They certainly don’t want to trade him, and still may not listen now, but with all of their bloated and back-loaded contracts, someone is going to eventually have to depart.
