New England Patriots offensive tackle Will Campbell is on track to play Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The rookie had been dealing with an ankle injury, but it appears barring another setback he’ll be ready to make his NFL debut.
The LSU product was selected fourth overall this offseason and is expected to play a massive role right away in pass protection. He’ll get a major test right off the bat as he must face Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby on the other side.
Campbell was a consensus All-American this past season at left tackle the Tigers in 2024. He also won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy for the SEC, given to each conference’s best blocker. Overall in his college career, he was a two-time first team All-SEC selection and was named second team All-SEC as a freshman in 2022.
