Cam Whitmore is coming home — and he might just be Washington’s next breakout star. The Wizards are acquiring the explosive forward from the Houston Rockets in exchange for two second-round picks, sources told ESPN. For a rebuilding team starving for upside, Whitmore gives D.C. fans a real reason to watch. The 20th overall pick in the 2023 draft, Whitmore turns 21 on July 8 and will celebrate it by landing in the DMV area, where he grew up.
