The Kansas Chiefs will likely have wide receiver Xavier Worthy available when the team takes on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night. Per Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network, Worthy is expected to play despite dealing with some swelling in his ankle. The Chiefs will see how Worthy feels when he’s at the stadium, but Wolfe said he’s “expected to be good to go.”
On Sunday, Xavier Worthy was downgraded to questionable, as his ankle was swollen when he was getting off the plane. He was a full participant in practice all week ahead of the Week 5 matchup against the Jaguars.
In the Chiefs’ season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in Bazil, Worthy collided with his teammate, Travis Kelce , in the first quarter. He was ruled out for the game due to an injured shoulder and missed the next two games. Worthy returned to the lineup in the Week 4 game against the Baltimore Ravens and caught five passes for 83 yards in the 37-20 victory.

Kansas City selected Worthy in the first round (No. 28 overall) in the 2024 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, the 22-year-old caught 59 passes for 638 yards and six touchdowns in 16 regular-season games. Worthy also made plays as a running back, tallying 104 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.
