The New York Yankees accomplished two important second-half firsts on Sunday. They won their first series after the All-Star break, and Aaron Judge went yard for his first home run of the second half of the season. After splitting the first two games in Atlanta, the Yankees beat the Braves 4-2 to claim their second and the three-game series. New York has now won back-to-back games following Saturday’s 12-9 offensive battle, with more of a pitcher’s duel. Judge, who was able to stay in Atlanta after the All-Star Game, actually started off the day by blasting his 36th bomb 409 feet to right center field.
