The New York Yankees are finally back on track. Their 13-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive victory, and they did so in convincing fashion, tying a franchise record for the most home runs in a single game (9). More impressively, this was the second time this season that the Yankees reached that figure after setting a franchise-best on March 29 in a 20-9 home win over the Milwaukee Brewers. With Tuesday’s performance, they’re the first team in MLB history with multiple nine-home run games in a single season: “To do it twice (in a season), that’s remarkable,” Boone said, per The Athletic. “And there were some (home runs) that were seriously hit, too.
