Aaron Rodgers update: Steelers QB's practice status revealed amid wrist injury

by: Nick Geddes 3 hours ago NickGeddesNews

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was listed as a limited participant on Thursday’s injury report. Rodgers, who has a fracture in his left wrist, did not practice Wednesday.

The wrist injury occurred in the second quarter of last Sunday’s 34-12 Week 11 home win over the Cincinnati Bengals.  Mason Rudolph  replaced Rodgers under center for two possessions and played well, completed 12-of-16 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown.

Rudolph will get the start Sunday against the Chicago Bears if Rodgers can’t go. Rodgers, however, has been pushing to play.

“As for Aaron Rodgers, a big test today,” Adam Schefter of ESPN shared on Thursday’s Get Up . “He plans to try to practice despite the fact that he has a fracture in his left wrist. We’ll see how that practice goes. Clearly didn’t practice yesterday. Wants to play on Sunday in Chicago. Has been pushing to play.”

Aaron Rodgers ‘pushing to play’ against Bears

The 41-year-old Rodgers would be facing a familiar foe in the Bears. Rodgers, who spent 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, has faced the Bears 29 times in his career. In those 29 games, Rodgers has posted a 24-5 record and thrown for 6,695 yards, 64 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
