Chicago Sky Star Announces Career News on Friday

Chicago Sky star Kamilla Cardoso had a memorable second season in the WNBA in 2025. The 6-foot-7 center played 40 games for the Sky this past season, averaging 13.6 points on 52.8% shooting, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 blocks in 27.6 minutes per contest. Cardoso’s strong play, however, was far from enough to help her team find success in the league. The Sky finished with a 10-34 standing, which is tied with the Dallas Wings for the worst standing record in the WNBA. On Friday, Cardoso took to social media to officially announce a big career move outside the WNBA.   Cardoso joined the Sky in 2024 as the third overall pick in the draft.
