Chicago Sky star Kamilla Cardoso had a memorable second season in the WNBA in 2025. The 6-foot-7 center played 40 games for the Sky this past season, averaging 13.6 points on 52.8% shooting, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 blocks in 27.6 minutes per contest. Cardoso’s strong play, however, was far from enough to help her team find success in the league. The Sky finished with a 10-34 standing, which is tied with the Dallas Wings for the worst standing record in the WNBA. On Friday, Cardoso took to social media to officially announce a big career move outside the WNBA. Cardoso joined the Sky in 2024 as the third overall pick in the draft. Chicago selected her four spots ahead of Angel Reese, who went seventh overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Cardoso and Reese have been the cornerstones of the Sky’s young core.
