Andy Reid didn’t completely slam the door shut on Xavier Worthy playing Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, but it’s barely ajar.
“I’d probably tell you it’s slim, but there’s still a chance to play, yeah,” the Chiefs coach said Friday. Kansas City officially listed him as doubtful to play.
Worthy played just three snaps in Week 1 before a collision with tight end Travis Kelce sidelined the speedster with a dislocated shoulder.

Reid’s sliver of optimism is notable, but with Worthy limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, it would be a surprise to see him suit up in Sunday’s Super Bowl rematch.
“He’s doing very well, yeah. He’s doing very well, so positive, all the stuff’s positive,” Reid said.
Worthy had a career-high 157 receiving yards and two touchdown receptions in the Super Bowl LIX loss to Philly.
