The New Orleans Saints’ season did not end the way they wanted.Instead of playing in the Super Bowl, the team was controversially deprived of a berth in that game after officials declined to call what was an obvious pass interference call. But the good news is that the Saints have been genuine title contenders in each of the past two seasons and will enter the 2019 campaign as favorites again to compete for the Lombardi Trophy.

To that end, the Saints have made a few moves on their staff and on the roster.Here is an overview of what the team has done so far.

Finally, after the initial speculation that the Saints were signing the tight end, Sean Payton confirmed that the deal was done. Cook and the Saints were discussing parts of the contract for roughly a week, and then reports emerged that the Patriots were interested in him after Rob Gronkowski retired, but in the end, Cook kept his commitment to New Orleans. In the process, giving Drew Brees a second major target in the passing game.

Sherels was courted by a half dozen teams this offseason, including Minnesota, who made overtures to re-sign the player, but in the end, he decided to make the move to New Orleans. Though listed by the Vikings as a cornerback, Sherels built his reputation in the NFL primary as a return specialist, and boasts a record at first place in Vikings history with a 10.4 yard career punt return average in addition to the record for five career punt return touchdowns.
