New York Giants fans throughout the region elected not to attend the club’s home game versus the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Instead, rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart and other members of the Giants routinely heard roars from San Francisco supporters throughout Big Blue’s 34-24 defeat that dropped the club to 2-7 on the season. Following that loss, Dart spoke openly about what he experienced during the sixth start of his pro career. “That was interesting,” Dart said about 49ers fans taking MetLife Stadium over, per Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News. “I’ve never played at a home game where I felt like it was kind of lopsided in that department. But they have a good fan base, and they traveled well.” One couldn’t blame Giants fans for selling tickets to either follow the game from home or do something else with their time.
