Jaxson Dart had an interesting welcome to the NFL moment Sunday as the New York Giants fell 34-24 to the San Francisco 49ers . Playing at home at MetLife Stadium, it looked like the 49ers faithful outnumbered the Giant fans.
The loss Sunday dropped New York to 2-7 on the season while San Francisco improved to 6-3. Dart had a solid game, but not good enough to overcome an interesting crowd and a battered but talented 49ers’ team.
“That was interesting,” Dart said postgame. “I’ve never played at a home game where I felt like it was kind of lopsided in that department. But they have a good fan base and they traveled well.”
Dart finished the game 24-of-33 passing for 191 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 56 yards and a score in the loss.
“My confidence doesn’t waver,” Dart said. “I feel like I work as hard as I can each and every week to prepare. I have confidence in the guys around me and I have confidence in the coaches. So that’s something that’s not going to waver at all.”
