Two weeks after the blockbuster trade, which sent All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers, was agreed upon, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones continues to double down on the trade being in his team’s favor. What else could you expect?
During an interview with 105.3 The FAN on Friday, Jones revealed that he believed that the trade was in the Cowboys’ best interest. He felt that because he sees it as the move to best get Dallas and quarterback Dak Prescott getting his elusive Super Bowl ring.
“This was the best way to maximize our chance to get a Super Bowl for Dak,” Jones said. The quote was via The Athletic ‘s Jon Machota .

Dallas did acquire three-time Pro Bowl DT Kenny Clark in the deal. However, it will be hard for him to measure anywhere close to the production that Parsons gave the Cowboys franchise for the first four years of his NFL career. In his Cowboy debut against Philadelphia, Clark recorded two tackles.
Parsons is already wreaking havoc in Green Bay, as he’s recorded three tackles, one TFL and 1.5 sacks in two games with the Packers. Dallas, on the other han,d opened the season with a 24-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
