Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones recognizes that his team should have accomplished more in 2025. While speaking to reporters after the Cowboys lost to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Jones was asked if he believed that the team underachieved this season.
“Absolutely. We all underachieved,” Jerry Jones said, per 105.3 The Fan. “The fact we’re not in the playoffs says that for you. …The question is, can we make some changes where we need to?”
On Saturday night, the Dallas Cowboys were eliminated from playoff contention after the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders. The Eagles have clinched the NFC East, and the Cowboys have now missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year.
On Sunday, the Cowboys looked to get a win and give themselves a chance to finish the season with a winning record. But Sunday’s loss drops the Cowboys to 6-8-1 on the year, meaning their best final record can be 8-8-1.
