New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor (knee) has been ruled out for Week 8 and Justin Fields will get the start on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported Saturday.
Head coach Aaron Glenn kept his QB decision for this week close to the vest in the lead up to Sunday, but Taylor being unable to play made it clear.
Fields, who was benched midway through last Sunday’s loss to the Panthers, will look to earn New York its first win of the season on Sunday.
