New York Jets defensive back Kris Boyd is back in the hospital due to health issues. Boyd was recently shot in New York City in mid-November, finding himself in critical condition. He took to Instagram recently to update everyone on where he stands, even apologizing for not getting back to everyone who has messaged him throughout the incident.
โPlease [bear] with me, I havenโt been in communication much,โ Boyd said via his Instagram story. โโฆ I was released but had to return to the hospital due to my health issues. I love and appreciate every one of yโall dearly who has prayed/reached out even if I canโt get back to you!โ
Boyd has not played a game for the Jets this season. He spent the 2024 campaign in the Lone Star State with the Houston Texans, getting on the field on 17 occasions. Most of the snaps for Boyd came on the special teams unit.
When Boyd signed a one-year deal with the Jets, the possibility of being a part of the secondary opened up. But an injury placed him on IR before the season even began. Now, Boyd is going through something more serious. Even so, the attitude surrounding the incident appears to be a positive one.
