Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons made NFL history in the Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions. After notching 2.5 sacks on Thursday, Parsons now has 12.5 sacks on the year, making him the first player in NFL history to have 12-plus sacks in each of the first five seasons of his career.
Micah Parsons spent his first four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and became a top tier edge rusher quickly. The former Penn State star recorded 13 sacks in 2021, 13.5 in 2022, 14 in 2023, and 12 last year. His production earned him four Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro First Team selections.
Parsons played a big role in the Packersโ 31-24 victory against the Lions on Thanksgiving. And his play all season is a big reason Green Bay is 8-3-1 after 13 weeks.
