Micah Parsons trade: Jerry Jones asked for NFL superstar in return before deal with Packers

by: Steve Samra 3 minutes ago SamraSource

The Micah Parsons saga in Dallas came to an end when the Cowboys and Jerry Jones shipped their star defensive player to the Packers. However, Green Bay wasn’t always set in stone — Parsons was almost a New York Jet.

According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, the Cowboys owner called the Jets and tried to make a deal involving Parsons and New York star defender Quinnen Williams . It didn’t come to fruition, but it wasn’t due to a lack of effort on Dallas’ part.

“Interesting #Jets nugget here: When he was shopping Micah Parsons, Jerry Jones called the Jets,” Cimini posted on X. “Sounds like he asked for Quinnen Williams and then some. It was a brief convo. Jones says the Jets told him they didn’t have the resources to trade for Parsons.”
