In a dominating performance on Saturday night, the No. 15 LSU Tigers showcased their offensive dominance as they flattened Georgia State with a resounding 56-14 victory.
Senior quarterback Jayden Daniels was the catalyst for this remarkable display, amassing an incredible 509 total yards while throwing six touchdown passes and adding two more scores on the ground.
Daniels’ exceptional performance continued to bolster his Heisman Trophy candidacy, leading the Tigers (8-3, 5-2 SEC) on touchdown drives throughout the game, a feat that matched a school record previously set by 2019 Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow.
By the time he was substituted out with less than four minutes remaining, Daniels had completed 25 of 30 passes for 413 yards and rushed for an additional 96 yards on 10 carries, leaving an indelible mark on the field.
With this victory, Daniels has amassed a staggering 1,115 total yards and an impressive 13 touchdowns, firmly establishing himself as one of the top college football players in the nation.
He also etched his name into the LSU record books, securing second place in career total touchdowns with 75, only trailing the legendary Joe Burrow, who boasted 88 touchdowns from 2018 to 2019.
