Oilers’ new arrival surprisingly surfaces in trade rumors

The Edmonton Oilers’ roster is generating plenty of trade buzz this week, and one name in particular is raising eyebrows: David Tomasek. His name was brought up in a list of potential trade pieces the Oilers might look to move as the roster returns to full health. It’s surprising, if for no other reason, that the Oilers just recently signed him. David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period noted that alongside familiar names like Mattias Janmark, Ty Emberson and Troy Stecher, Tomasek has been mentioned as a player who could be moved to free up cap space.
