In a significant move for the franchise, the New Orleans Pelicans have secured the talent of Jeremiah Robinson-Earl on a two-year standard NBA contract, according to insider sources from The Athletic and Stadium. Robinson-Earl, who has participated in 21 games for the Pelicans this season, has been a promising addition to the team. The deal is structured to include a team option in the second year, as reported by Christian Clark of NOLA.com. This strategic decision by the Pelicans to offer a standard contract reflects their confidence in the 6’9″ forward’s potential and performance.
Robinson-Earl’s journey to the Pelicans has been marked by his resilient adaptability and consistent development. After two collegiate seasons at Villanova and being picked 32nd in the 2021 draft, Robinson-Earl spent two seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He faced a setback when traded to Houston and released before the commencement of the 2023/24 season.
However, the Pelicans recognized his ability and brought him on board shortly after, officially signing him on his birthday, November 3. Despite limited playing time this season, Robinson-Earl has impressed with his efficiency, averaging 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds over 10 minutes per game, and boasts an exceptional shooting line. With the Pelicans currently managing their roster to meet NBA requirements, the addition of Robinson-Earl is poised to be a value-adding strategy for the team’s competitive edge.

The organization has slated a re-evaluation in four weeks to gauge his rehabilitation progress, ensuring fans and stakeholders are kept informed. Daniels has been a vital player this season, contributing significantly in his 52 game appearances, including 15 starts.
With averages of 5.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and a notable 1.4 steals in nearly 22 minutes per game, Daniels’ return to full health is eagerly anticipated by the Pelicans’ community. His defensive acumen and playmaking skills are integral to the team’s structure, and his recovery will undoubtedly be a boost as the Pelicans navigate through the season.
