The choice was obvious and the Pel’s made it official by making phenom Zion Williamson its new franchise star. Williamson who is 6-7 285 lbs averaged in 33 games 22.6 ppg 9 rpg while shooting a mind blowing 68% from the field for Duke. The focus of the team is to assemble a unit of that will support Zion and ultimately compete now in the Western Conference. The Pelicans sent disgruntled former franchise cornerstone Anthony Davis packing to the Los Angeles Lakers, which created a opening for Williamson. The Pelican Brass also made several trades in an attempt to acquire draft capital while moving Solomon Hills ridiculous contract.
