The Saints Derek Carr trade rumor is heating up after a report from NBC Sports insider Matthew Berry. According to Berry, the New Orleans Saints expect Derek Carr to un-retire in 2026. They then plan to trade him, potentially to the New York Jets.
The Saints reportedly feel confident about rookie quarterback Tyler Shough. This confidence could make Carr expendable if he returns to the NFL. If Carr does un-retire, New Orleans may move him quickly. They may aim to recoup assets. The team could transition to a new era under Kellen Moore.
Big Q from The Sports Coma breaks down the rumor. He analyzes what it means for the Saints quarterback room. He discusses whether the Jets could realistically become Derek Carrโs next destination.
๐ Is a Carr return and trade scenario actually possible? Letโs talk about it.
